Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vlatko Simovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russell Kairouz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simovic comes into the arena with Citizen Cope - Let the Drummer Kick blaring out of the sound system. Kairouz is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Metallica - Seek and Destroy. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Simovic shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kairouz's guard.
Kairouz has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Simovic has passed into side control.
Kairouz sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Simovic is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Simovic throwing shots but Kairouz is blocking nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kairouz regains full guard. Nicely done.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kairouz is looking to sinch up a triangle. Simovic throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kairouz's body to avoid the submission. Kairouz has instead reached around Simovic's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kairouz arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
