Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grzegorz Lato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel McFadden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Grzegorz Lato has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Grzegorz Lato seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lato works McFadden's body with a nice hook.
McFadden gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lato cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Lato moves into the clinch.
Lato gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McFadden.
Grzegorz Lato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel McFadden.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lato in particular looking to stall.

McFadden has his foot on Lato's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lato works his way back into a safe position though.

Lato wants to free his trapped foot but McFadden is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Lato uses his free foot to push down on McFadden's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for McFadden.

Lato takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
