Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robert Oak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Manhoef (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melvin Manhoef has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Robert Oak's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robert Oak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Melvin Manhoef!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manhoef thows a body shot but no joy.
Manhoef throws a leg kick but Oak moved away.
Melvin Manhoef seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manhoef is looking to score with low kicks.
Oak tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Manhoef swivels and escapes.
Manhoef thuds his right hand into Oak's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Oak checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Oak avoids a kick to the body.
Oak tries to clinch but Manhoef moves out of range.
Oak fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Oak shoots in but no luck this time.

Oak swings around for an armbar but Manhoef sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Oak's guard.

Oak has his hands on Manhoef's head, controlling the position.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Oak will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Manhoef stuffs the takedown attempt from Oak. Oak gets slowly back to his feet.
Oak shoots for a double leg takedown but Manhoef sprawls well. He's pushed Oak's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Good leg kick by Manhoef there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Manhoef connects with an inside leg kick.
Manhoef fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Oak.
Oak gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Manhoef.
Manhoef swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Oak wants to clinch.
Oak looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Manhoef is fending him off so far but Oak persists. Nope, Manhoef circles away and we're back to standing.
Manhoef lands with a slapping head kick.
Manhoef lands a nice looking body kick.
Oak moves in looking to clinch but Manhoef pushes him off.
Manhoef throws a nice outside leg kick.
Oak walks into a straight right hand from Manhoef.
Oak shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Manhoef but Manhoef pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Manhoef turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Manhoef ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Manhoef throws a nice inside leg kick.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Manhoef - that will leave a mark!
Oak is breathing heavily.
Oak gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Manhoef works over Oak's head and body with a nice combination.
Manhoef throws a sloppy head kick and Oak moves out of range easily.
Oak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Manhoef paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Melvin Manhoef dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Manhoef is trying to control but can't.
Manhoef has hold of Oak's hands but Oak slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Oak is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Manhoef is just riding it out for now. Oak eventually gives up the hold.

Oak landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oak has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Manhoef clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Manhoef looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Manhoef wants to get back to his feet.
