Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Baduk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kiyoshi Tamura!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baduk's corner calls for a 1-2. Baduk obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
The fighters circling - Baduk throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Tamura on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Baduk takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Tamura looks for a takedown but Baduk sprawls well.
Tamura connects with a jab.
Tamura keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Baduk.
Tamura throws out a loose jab but Baduk uses good head movement to avoid it.
A left and a right from Baduk both land. Nice combination.


It looks like Kiyoshi Tamura has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Baduk throws a series of strikes that have Tamura backpedaling.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Baduk misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Tamura.
Baduk with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Tamura looking to throw knees to the head but Baduk is blocking nicely.
Tamura tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Baduk avoids it.
Tamura using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Baduk has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Tamura throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Baduk blocks it with crossed arms.
Tamura tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Baduk has Tamura pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Tamura is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Baduk - that's hurt Tamura badly! Oh, another knee lands and Tamura is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Tamura doesn't seem to be complaining.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Sergei Baduk!
A very excited looking Sergei Baduk made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
