And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kidane wants to clinch.
Powers pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Powers circles away from the clinch attempt
and Powers counters with a head kick.
Kidane avoids the head kick by Powers.
Kidane takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Kidane fails with an attempt to clinch.
Powers circles away from the clinch attempt
and Powers counters with a nice body kick.
Powers tries a head kick but it misses.
Kidane darts in trying to clinch
and Powers counters with a body kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kidane wants to clinch
and Powers counters with a good, hard body kick but Kidane shrugs it off.
Max Powers is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Powers looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Powers throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Powers throws a half hearted mid kick.
Powers lands a head kick. Kidane smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and Kidane counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
With the fighters up against the cage, Powers throws an elbow but misses.

Kidane is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Powers is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kidane is defending well for now.

Powers is looking to control Kidane's arms but Kidane gets an underhook and turns him. Now Powers has his back to the cage.
Powers is trying to break free.
Powers is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kidane is defending well for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kidane using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Powers has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Kidane lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Kidane scores with a nice hook to the head.
Powers connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kidane's face.
Powers tries a knee to the head but Kidane blocks it.

Powers looks gassed!
Powers lands an elbow just above Kidane 's eye.
Kidane lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Powers or not.
Powers tries to stall but Kidane uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Kidane throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Powerss head.
Kidane tries a knee to the head but Powers blocks it.
Powers trying to land knees to the body.
Powers throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kidane blocks it with crossed arms.
Kidane works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Kidane lands a good knee to the midsection. Powers won't want to take too many of those.
Kidane lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Powers backwards.
Kidane has the Thai plumb, controlling the head nicely. He loads up with a big knee to the head and Powers goes down! Kidane pounces into side control - this one could be over soon!
It looks like Max Powers has been cut.
A big shot lands for Kidane! That's hurt Powers! Will he recover? Kidane fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kinfe Kidane!
A very excited looking Kinfe Kidane rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
