Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jarno Ahma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Red (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jarno Ahma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Red!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ahma drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ahma is stalling in the full guard.
Red looking for a sweep. Not yet Red, not yet.
Red throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Ahma is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ahma has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Ahma prevents Red from getting back to his feet.

Ahma avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Red has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ahma can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ahma is pushing down on Red's leg trying to pass to half guard. Red is fighting to maintain full guard but Ahma has managed to sneak the leg through.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Red tries to kick Ahma off but Ahma keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Red changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ahma looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ahma is trying to control Red's posture but Red avoids it.

Red is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ahma is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
You can see the frustration on Ahma's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Red wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ahma, who protects the arm well.

Red thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Red looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Red flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Ahma works his foot free and advances to mount.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ahma is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Red wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Ahma manages to pass to side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ahma in particular looking to stall.
Ahma's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Red has his foot on Ahma's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ahma works his way back into a safe position though.

Red escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ahma gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Red wants to sweep here but Ahma controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ahma stands and throws Red's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Red prevents Ahma from moving into mount.
Ahma moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Red takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ahma escapes and gets back to his feet.
No luck for Ahma with that takedown attempt.

Ahma shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Ahma controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Ahma seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Red for as long as he can get away with.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ahma, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
