Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kurt Little (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kurt Little!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gregory Davis!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Little blocks a head kick by Davis.
Davis bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Little keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Little doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Little closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Davis quickly recovers to half guard.
Little throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Little seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Davis is looking for a sweep. Little is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Davis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Little pulls his head out easily.
Davis makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Davis.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Little loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Davis can't keep his opponent in guard - Little advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Little decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Little is defended easily by Davis.
Davis tries to clinch but Little is having none of it.
Davis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Little darts in and clinches Davis up against the cage.
Little will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Davis up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Little wants the takedown. Davis is fighting it off but Little persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Davis's guard against the cage.
Little engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Davis is trying to keep Little in close.

Davis working for a triangle but Little defends it easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Little sitting in guard here, content to control.

Little stands up and waves to Davis to follow him.
Little changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davis tries to avoid it but Little manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davis to the ground. Davis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Little doesn't manage to clinch there - Davis circles away.

Davis has closed the distance and engaged Little in a clinch.
Little drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Davis gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kurt Little. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Little turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Little manages to end up in side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Little has control of an arm but Davis manages to advance to Little's back!
Little looking to control the position.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Davis controlling the positon.
Davis thows a strike but Little uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by Little as he ends up in Davis 's guard!
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Little seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Little changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Davis tries to avoid it but Little manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Davis to the ground. Davis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Little fails with an attempt to clinch.
Davis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Little as he jumps to the side.
Davis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Little blocks the body kick.
Davis avoids the head kick by Little.

Little closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Davis's guard.
Little works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Little works his way into side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Little is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Davis gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Little controlling the position easily from mount.
Davis tries to improve his position but instead Little has taken his back!
Little will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Little controlling the position well here. Davis rolled but Little kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Davis tries to escape but Little has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Little misses with punches from the back.
Little biding his time, controlling Davis.
Kurt Little overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Little seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Davis for as long as he can get away with.
Little throwing sloppy strikes.

Little misses with a punch to the head.

Little is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Davis defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Davis has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Little is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Davis is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Little controlling the position well here. Davis rolled but Little kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Little has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Davis is in real trouble here. Little gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Davis is tapping out! Little wins by rear naked choke!
