Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Brian McBride (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Janek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBride takes a kick to the side of the head.
Janek is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Janek rushes McBride and presses him up against the cage.

McBride pulls guard effortlessly.

Janek throws a big right hand that misses.
Janek tries to free his leg and advance position but McBride is retaining full guard.

It looks like Janek might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Marcin Janek was stalling too much, according to the referee.

McBride throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Janek's waist but Janek gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McBride off to one side.

McBride moves into the clinch.
McBride gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Janek.

McBride shoots in but Janek avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Janek shoots for a double leg takedown but McBride sprawls well. He's pushed Janek's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Brian McBride has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcin Janek.

Horrible takedown by McBride or perhaps it was just good defense by Janek which made him look bad.
Janek shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McBride pinned against the cage. McBride gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Well Janek has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
