Diamond comes to the cage accompanied by Youth Gone Wild- Skid Row. Simon Cole is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diamond avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Diamond throws a low kick but Cole avoids it.
Diamond swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A left and a right from Diamond both land. Nice combination.
That kick from Diamond tenderised Cole's leg. Cole is trying to keep his angry face on.

Cole tries to clinch but Diamond moves out of range.
Diamond throws a hook but Cole blocks it.
Diamond tries to move into range but Cole moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Cole shoots in but no luck this time.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cole fails with a takedown attempt.

Cole walks into a straight right hand from Diamond.
Diamond moves out of range as Cole strikes.

Diamond dodges the punch combination from Cole.
Cole dives in and grabs Diamond's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diamond pushes down on Cole's head and hops out.
Joey Diamond has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Cole.

Diamond drops Cole with a right and a left! Diamond comes rushing in but Cole regains his composure and manages to keep Diamond in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Diamond in particular looking to stall.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big strike lands for Diamond! That's really hurt Cole and he's turned his back - Diamond keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Diamond jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
