Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Macgowan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haloti Gnata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Macgowan's entrance music is Nyan Cat. A fine choice. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gnata scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Macgowan on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Gnata throws a good cross that connects.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gnata darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Gnata slips under a jab from Macgowan.
Macgowan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Macgowan tries to close the distance and clinch but Gnata swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Macgowan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gnata manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Crunch! Gnata slams his shin into Macgowan's torso.
Macgowan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Macgowan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Gnata throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Gnata might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Macgowan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gnata tries to avoid it but Macgowan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gnata to the ground. Gnata escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Macgowan shoots in looking for a takedown but Gnata manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Macgowan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Macgowan takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Gnata swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Oooh a lovely combination from Gnata sends Macgowan down but not out. Gnata dives into side control looking to finish.

Gnata is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Macgowan has escaped the position, nice work there.
Macgowan is trying to control Gnata's posture but Gnata avoids it.
Gnata with the ground and pound but Macgowan regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

Gnata passes to side control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Macgowan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gnata's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Gnata throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Macgowan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Macgowan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gnata clobbers Macgowan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Macgowan looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Macgowan is defended easily by Gnata.

A very excited looking Haloti Gnata rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
