Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cigano Mejias!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mejias gets a double leg takedown into Marques's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Mejias working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Mejias is stalling in the full guard.
Marques is trying to keep Mejias in close.
Marques throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Mejias postures up in Marques's guard and throws a big left but Marques blocks it.
Marques bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mejias's guard.
Mejias thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Marques with a flurry of punches that miss.
Mejias throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Mejias seems keen to control Marques's posture.
Marques has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Mejias keeping full guard, as Marques tries to pass.
Marques trying to control the position from guard on top but Mejias is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mejias working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Marques doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mejias is tightening it up a little... Marques has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Marques reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Marques taps out! Nice BJJ there by Mejias!

A relieved looking Cigano Mejias thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
