Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nycky Downtime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cj Becker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Downtime comes to the cage accompanied by Bring It. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nycky Downtime!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cj Becker!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Becker misses with a wild body shot.
Becker attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Becker clinches with his opponent.
Becker blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Downtime takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Becker tries a knee to the head but Downtime blocks it.
Becker connects with a nasty looking knee right to Downtime's face.
Becker throws a knee to the head but misses.
Downtime tries to land knees in the clinch but Becker avoids the damage to the body.

Downtime gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Downtime stands up over Becker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Becker had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Downtime defends it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Becker keeping moving, preventing Downtime from controlling successfully.

Downtime drops back looking for a leg! Becker is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Becker manages to kick Downtime off! Downtime jumps back into Becker's guard.

Becker has his foot on Downtime's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Downtime works his way back into a safe position though.

Downtime is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Becker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Downtime.
A looping hook to the body misses from Becker. Downtime does a little dance to reset his feet.

Becker darts in trying to clinch
and Becker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Downtime keeps the fight on the outside.
Downtime lands a right hook to the body.

Downtime on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Becker.

That kick from Becker tenderised Downtime's leg. Downtime is trying to keep his angry face on.

Cj Becker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Downtime fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Becker sprawls well initially but Downtime persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Becker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Downtime pulls his head out easily.

Downtime is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Becker is just riding it out for now. Downtime eventually gives up the hold.

Downtime tries to bum rush Becker with a series of wild strikes but Becker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Downtime dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Becker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Downtime paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Downtime rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Becker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Becker throws a body punch but Downtime moves out of range.

Downtime takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Becker lunges at Downtime with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Downtime's hand.
Becker darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Becker thumps Downtime with a low kick.
Downtime avoids a kick to the body.
Downtime misses with a head kick.
Becker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Downtime swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Becker scores with a nice right hand.
Oh Downtime is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Becker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Downtime can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Downtime has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Nycky Downtime overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
