Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Frazier might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to HBO Boxing Theme. Joe Frazier could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Paul Phoenix's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Frazier misses.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Frazier is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Phoenix asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Phoenix wants to control for a moment but Frazier uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Phoenix thows a huge punch but Frazier dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Phoenix changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Frazier tries to avoid it but Phoenix manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Frazier to the ground. Frazier escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Phoenix has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Frazier clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Phoenix is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Frazier knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Frazier for a finish.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Frazier.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Frazier, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
