Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Pembelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Swag In A Bag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pembelton comes to the cage accompanied by Hail Mary by Tupac. Bag is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: American bad ass. Swag In A Bag will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bag scores with a head kick.


It looks like Frank Pembelton has been cut.
Pembelton takes a swing at Bag's ribcage but misses.
Bag swings for the body but Pembelton moves out of range.
Pembelton misses the jab.
Bag leaves Pembelton with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bag throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bag throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pembelton sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bag takes a swing at Pembelton's ribcage but misses.
Bag throws a shot from downtown. Pembelton moves away and avoids it.
Pembelton just misses with a punch to the body.
Bag throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Pembelton counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pembelton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Pembelton won't allow Bag to get back to his feet.

Bag really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pembelton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pembelton wants to control from the top but Bag keeps moving.
Pembelton throws an elbow that misses. Bag uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pembelton's guard. Nice move by Bag!

Pembelton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Frank Pembelton wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Both fighters circling a little - Bag finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bag looks to land a combination but Pembelton avoids it well.

Pembelton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bag moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Bag gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Bag displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pembelton throws out the jab.
Bag tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pembelton was well out of range. Poor timing from Bag.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bag closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Pembelton lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Bag throws the left hand but Pembelton avoids the punch easily.
Bag throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Swag In A Bag is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pembelton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bag as he avoids it easily.
Pembelton throws an off balance right hand
and Bag counters with a head kick. That will keep Pembelton thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Swag In A Bag will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Pembelton stuns Bag with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Bag takes one to the side of the head.

Pembelton fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bag sprawls well initially but Pembelton persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Bag pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pembelton is out of range and Bag settles back down.
Pembelton dives in and grabs Bag's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bag pushes down on Pembelton's head and hops out.
Pembelton throws a body punch but Bag moves out of range.
Pembelton defending well as Bag loads up on a big left hand.
Bag uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pembelton.
Jab, jab by Pembelton - just one landing.
Pembelton connects with a body shot.
Pembelton shoots in looking for a takedown. Bag tries to sprawl out of it but Pembelton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bag manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bag stuffs the takedown attempt from Pembelton. Pembelton gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Pembelton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pembelton connects with a good right hand that stumbles Bag. Bag circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Bag uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Pembelton.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bag.
No luck for Pembelton with that takedown attempt.

Bag thows a body shot but no joy.
Bag throws a low kick but it's checked well by Pembelton.

Bag lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Bag keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bag ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pembelton moves away.
Pembelton lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bag at a distance.
Pembelton throws a hook but Bag blocks it.
Bag fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pembelton manages to avoid it.
Pembelton connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bag momentarily.
Pembelton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Pembelton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bag.
Pembelton gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bag.

Bag wants to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pembelton thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bag's head.
Frank Pembelton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pembelton is just content to waste time from the top position. Bag takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Bag pushes Pembelton off and gets back to his feet.
