Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alvin Soares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Delieholy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tony Delieholy is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alvin Soares!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tony Delieholy!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soares dives in and grabs Delieholy's left leg, looking for a takedown. Delieholy pushes down on Soares's head and hops out.
Soares does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Delieholy swinging wildly here.

Soares moves into the clinch.
Delieholy throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Soares blocks it with crossed arms.
Delieholy missing with knees to the body.

Delieholy jumps guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Delieholy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Soares is aware though and is defending well.

Delieholy slaps away a takedown attempt from Soares, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Soares shoots in and drives through. Delieholy sprawls well.

Delieholy lands some shots froms side control.
Soares is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Delieholy is controlling him well.

Delieholy decides to stand back up.
Soares throws a lazy head kick
and Delieholy counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Soares fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Delieholy throws a series of punches but Soares avoids them all with ease.

Delieholy lands with a nice combination. Soares backs away looking to recover.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Soares changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Delieholy tries to avoid it but Soares manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Delieholy to the ground. Delieholy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Delieholy throws a series of punches but Soares moves out of range.

Delieholy closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Soares did well to prevent Delieholy getting side control.
Soares is staying active underneath Delieholy, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Soares is looking to improve his position.
Delieholy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Soares does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Soares is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Delieholy throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Soares on the side of the head.

Soares tries to score a body lock takedown but Delieholy shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Soares tries to pull guard but Delieholy won't allow it.
Delieholy is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Soares is defending well.

Delieholy drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Soares gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Soares throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Delieholy was covering up waiting for the punch and Soares finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Delieholy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Soares doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Delieholy is tightening it up a little... Soares has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Soares reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Soares taps out! Nice BJJ there by Delieholy!
