The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roche gets tackled into the cage by Cake. Cake maintains the clinch.
Roche is trying to force a seperation but Cake has the dominant position.

Cake breaks the clinch.
Cake throws a half hearted mid kick.
Cake looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Cake turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Cake takes a jab right on the kisser.
Cake throws a leg kick that is checked
and Roche finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Roche moves into range and connects with a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Cake slips under a jab.
Roche throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Cake tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Roche ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Cake takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Roche lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cake on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Cake looks gassed!
Cake blocks the body kick.
Roche misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cake.
Cake takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Cake scores with a leg kick.
Cake throws the kick towards the body but Roche avoids it.
Roche misses with a few strikes there.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Roche, right into the meat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Roche wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Roche feints with a jab and clips Cake right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Cake is sent crashing into the canvas and Roche leaps in for the kill! Cake tries to get to his feet but Roche is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Cake is in need of a savior and steps in!
