The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodhrehson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Thorne. That one must have hurt.
Thorne turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Thorne lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rodhrehson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rodhrehson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rodhrehson shoots for a double leg takedown but Thorne sprawls well. He's pushed Rodhrehson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Thorne ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rodhrehson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thorne was well out of range. Poor timing from Rodhrehson.
Thorne fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Rodhrehson checks it well.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Thorne with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rodhrehson to score with a decent uppercut.
Thorne fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rodhrehson.
Rodhrehson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rodhrehson.

Rodhrehson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Thorne is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Thorne and Rodhrehson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
