Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walter Solstice!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Bellamy!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solstice throws a head kick that misses.
Bellamy moves out of range of the leg kick from Solstice.
A nice leg kick lands there from Solstice.
Bellamy blocks a leg kick.

Bellamy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bellamy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Bellamy gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Bellamy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Solstice is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Bellamy off and has taken his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bellamy turns into Solstice and is now in his guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Solstice gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bellamy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bellamy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bellamy passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Solstice is breathing heavily.
Solstice prevents Bellamy from moving into mount.
Solstice is looking to regain half guard here but Bellamy keeps moving and retains side control.
Bellamy moves into full mount!
Solstice slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Bellamy is trying to control the action in half guard but Solstice is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Solstice has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bellamy lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Bellamy slips a nice elbow through Solstice's hands, connecting with Solstice's forehead.
Bellamy seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Solstice does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Solstice wants to improve his position but Bellamy is controlling well.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Solstice fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bellamy checks it well.

Bellamy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bellamy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Solstice.

Bellamy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Bellamy is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Solstice has escaped the position, nice work there.
Solstice tries to buck Bellamy off but Bellamy is having none of it.

Solstice is not content to let Bellamy control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Bellamy counters with a single leg into guard. Solstice didn't expect that.

Bellamy is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Solstice is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Solstice has escaped and now he's on top!
Solstice slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Solstice wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bellamy keeps working.

Solstice is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bellamy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Solstice is looking to take a break and control but Bellamy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bellamy sneaks back into half guard.
Bellamy is refusing to be controlled, as Solstice sits in half guard.
Bellamy wants to control but Solstice is keeping busy.
Bellamy gets back to full guard.
Bellamy tries to strike from the bottom.
Solstice has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bellamy is proving hard to escape from.

Bellamy has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Solstice should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Bellamy has tightened it up now! Solstice should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
