The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paskiainen tries for a takedown but Richter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Richter is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Paskiainen can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Richter drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Richter jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Paskiainen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Richter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Richter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

and Paskiainen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Richter's guard now.
Richter tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Richter is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Paskiainen with him. Paskiainen is trying to defend but Richter has an arm under the chin now! Paskiainen grimaces and is forced to tap out!
