Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cody Carmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nick Mac is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carmen leaves Mac with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Carmen shoots in but Mac avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mac tries for a takedown but Carmen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mac throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Carmen rushes Mac and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Carmen has clasped his hands together around Mac's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Mac is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Carmen off and has taken his back!
Carmen trying to control the hands but Mac breaks the grip.
Carmen is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Mac misses with an elbow to the head.
Carmen is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Mac lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Can Carmen hold on?! Mac is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Carmen can't escape the position.
Mac gets his hands free as Carmen looks to control.
Carmen tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Mac has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mac fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
