Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mister Sailo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Mister Sailo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mister Sailo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sailo misses with the combination.

Diaz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sailo's guard.
Diaz controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
It looks like Diaz might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Carlos Diaz wasn't active enough on the ground.

Sailo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Sailo shoots in for a takedown but Diaz shows good takedown defense.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sailo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Diaz is just riding it out for now. Sailo eventually gives up the hold.

We're going to have a standup here because Mister Sailo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Diaz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sailo sprawls well initially but Diaz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sailo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diaz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diaz's back!
Diaz is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
