Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Doug Copley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sam Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gunn shoots for a takedown but Copley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Copley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
BOOM! Copley connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Copley jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gunn manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Copley stands up and beckons Gunn to his feet.
Gunn misses with a double jab.
Gunn shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Copley but Copley pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Doug Copley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Gunn.

Copley has closed the distance and engaged Gunn in a clinch.
Copley swings away with an uppercut that misses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Copley misses with a knee to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Copley lands with a short head shot on the inside.
A head punch on the inside from Copley fails to land.
Copley pushes Gunn back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Gunn takes a knee to the side of the body.
Copley slowing the pace effectively.
The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Copley for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Gunn looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Copley lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Gunn.
Copley misses with a knee strike.
A right hand to the body from Copley.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Copley.
Copley working the clinch nicely. Gunn is working for position but Copley cracks him with a big knee to the head! Gunn crumples up against the cage and Copley lands two more shots before the ref can save Gunn! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee & Punches). Doug Copley!
After the fight, Doug Copley was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
