The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Gu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lunde thinking.

and Gu counters with a straight right hand.

Hank Lunde seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chil Pal Gu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hank Lunde.
Lunde shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gu but Gu pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Gu throws a good cross that connects.
Lunde throws a jab but it's blocked by Gu.
Lunde closes the distance and clinches up with Gu, looking for a takedown. Lunde pushes Gu against the cage but Gu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

A right-left combo lands from Gu.
Lunde shoots in looking for a takedown. Gu tries to sprawl out of it but Lunde keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gu lands a jab.
Lunde takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gu stuffs the takedown attempt from Lunde. Lunde gets slowly back to his feet.

Lunde shoots in looking for a takedown but Gu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lunde's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Lunde throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Chil Pal Gu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gu tries to clinch up.
Lunde shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gu pinned against the cage. Gu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gu ducks under a wild hook from Lunde.

Lunde throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gu was covering up waiting for the punch and Lunde finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Lunde drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lunde jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Gu wants to get back to his feet but Lunde is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gu preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Lunde controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Lunde shoots in but Gu avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gu displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lunde.
Lunde looks to throw the jab but Gu is out of range.
Lunde keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lunde throws out a loose jab but Gu uses good head movement to avoid it.

Lunde shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Lunde is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Gu is forced to tap! Great finish!
