Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jamie Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dwayne Hicks!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes misses with a wild body shot.
Hicks throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Reyes misses with a low kick.
Hicks feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Reyes's calf.
Hicks moves in looking to clinch but Reyes pushes him off.
Reyes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hicks. Hicks circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Some bone on bone action there as Reyes checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hicks just misses with a punch to the body.
Hicks blocks a head kick by Reyes.
Reyes throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hicks on the side of the head.
The fighters circling - Reyes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That kick from Hicks tenderised Reyes's leg. Reyes is trying to keep his angry face on.

Reyes unloads a knee to the mid-section. Hicks lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Hicks can't find room to land a body shot as Reyes controls the action.

Reyes tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hicks avoids it.
Hicks scores with a nice hook to the head.

Hicks does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A punch lands to the side of Hicks 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Reyes paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reyes is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Hicks with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Reyes to score with a decent uppercut.
Hicks throws a head kick but Reyes moves out of range.

and Reyes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Reyes throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hicks stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Reyes counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Dwayne Hicks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hicks throws a leg kick but Reyes sees it coming and moves out of range.
Hicks throws a shot from downtown. Reyes moves away and avoids it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hicks displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Reyes throws out the jab.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Reyes, as that shot connected.

That was a close round but I would say that Jamie Reyes will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
