Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ilya Anisim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conner Mcloed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anisim stuffs the takedown.
Anisim looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Mcloed fails to land the takedown.

Anisim avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Mcloed.

Mcloed postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Anisim is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mcloed, into his guard.

Anisim escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcloed gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mcloed is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Despite being in the dominant position, Conner Mcloed just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mcloed stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Mcloed has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Anisim is working away from the top position though.
Mcloed might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Anisim kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Anisim avoids the attempt from Mcloed to control.
Mcloed sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Anisim prevents Mcloed from standing back up.
Mcloed tries to roll over but Anisim keeps him under control.
Mcloed on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Anisim slips a nice elbow through Mcloed's hands, connecting with Mcloed's forehead.

Mcloed is looking for a sweep. Anisim is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Anisim is nestled in close to Mcloed, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Mcloed is looking to stand up but Anisim isn't so interested in that idea.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Mcloed is on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Anisim is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Mcloed frees his head nicely. Oh but Anisim has switched to an armbar! Mcloed is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
