LaRusso's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, You're The Best!. Spiller has chosen I know you want me as his entrance music. Brandon Spiller is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny LaRusso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 2, fighting out of New York, Brandon Spiller!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Columbo Gatti and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spiller checks a low kick from LaRusso.
LaRusso steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Spiller.

Spiller closes the distance and clinches.
LaRusso has Spiller pressed against the cage, preventing Spiller from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Spiller fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Spiller presses LaRusso against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Spiller goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

LaRusso goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Spiller moves to clinch but LaRusso breaks away
and LaRusso counters with a right hand to the body.
LaRusso feints and then cracks Spiller's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Spiller down.

LaRusso tries to circle away but Spiller has him pinned against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

LaRusso keeps the fight on the outside.
Spiller lands a jab to the nose.
LaRusso pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
A combination from LaRusso does no damage.
LaRusso fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Spiller has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Spiller throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

LaRusso has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Spiller uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before LaRusso has time to react.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johnny LaRusso.
Well Spiller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
