PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steffan Bonnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cosmo Starstryder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bonnar has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonnar takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Starstryder throws a low kick but Bonnar moves out of range easily.
Bonnar avoids the head kick by Starstryder.
Bonnar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bonnar fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Starstryder to the ground. Bonnar is now in Starstryder's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bonnar has Starstryder pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Bonnar pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Starstryder tumbling to the mat - Bonnar dives into Starstryder's guard.

Starstryder will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bonnar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

I would just about give that final round to Cosmo Starstryder.
