The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canedo is looking to clinch.
Canedo tries to clinch there but Jontop circles away.

Canedo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jontop, pushing him back against the cage.
Canedo looks to throw an elbow but misses.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Canedo just misses with a elbow thrown towards Jontop's brow.
Jontop is looking to break free of the clinch but Canedo has double underhooks.
Jontop takes an elbow to the forehead.

It looks like Hugh Jontop has been cut.
Jontop is trying to force a seperation but Canedo has the dominant position.
Jontop lands an uppercut.
Canedo misses with an elbow over the top.
Canedo misses with a knee strike.
Jontop wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Canedo pushes off an throws an elbow but Jontop leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Canedo creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jontop's defenses.
