Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Nir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fletcher has chosen Gallows - London is the reason as his entrance music. Johnny Fletcher has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Frank Nir's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Nir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Fletcher!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fletcher wants to clinch up but Nir keeps it at a distance.

Nir shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fletcher's guard.
Fletcher can't keep his opponent in guard - Nir advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fletcher is trying to stand.
Nir looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Fletcher is trying to stand up here but Nir is controlling him well.
Nir wants to pass to mount but Fletcher is defending the position.
Fletcher is trying to stand back up but Nir is controlling him
Fletcher is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Nir is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Fletcher sees it coming and defends easily.

Nir is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fletcher is just riding it out for now. Nir eventually gives up the hold.

Fletcher has one foot on Nir's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Nir avoids a punch combination nicely.

Nir manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Fletcher on his heels. He'll look to pass Fletcher's guard now, I'm sure.
Nir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fletcher swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nir controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Nir wants to control from the top but Fletcher keeps moving.
Nir is stalling in the full guard.

Nir postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fletcher is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nir, into his guard.

Fletcher avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Nir is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fletcher is aware though and is defending well.
Fletcher's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Nir looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Fletcher trying to control but Nir is working from the bottom.

Fletcher avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fletcher trying to control but Nir is working from the bottom.

Nir looking for subs off his back but Fletcher has passed one foot through into half guard.

Nir is looking to improve his position.
Nir tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Fletcher manages to move to mount!
Fletcher lands a nice shot to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fletcher throwing strikes but Nir recovers to half guard. A much better position.
Fletcher works his foot free and advances to mount.
Nir is looking to get to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Nir's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Fletcher misses with a jab, cross combination.
Johnny Fletcher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fletcher gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nir to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Nir sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fletcher's guard.
Nir wants to pass the guard but Fletcher is defending well.
Nir not doing much here.
Nir tries to pass to full mount but Fletcher defends it.

Nir wants to control but Fletcher is keeping him busy.

Nir is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fletcher is just riding it out for now. Nir eventually gives up the hold.
Nir is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Nir wants to pass to mount but Fletcher is defending the position.
Fletcher is looking to escape.
Fletcher scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Nir manages to mount him!
Nir takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Nir trying to control but Fletcher is having none of it.

Nir is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Fletcher has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Fletcher!

Nir is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fletcher trying to control but Nir is working from the bottom.
Nir is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fletcher loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Fletcher wants to get up but he can't break Nir's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Fletcher lands a couple of elbows.

Nir has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fletcher can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Nir is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nir stops Fletcher from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Nir dominated that second round.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!



Nir looking to score a takedown here. Fletcher is defending well but Nir drives through and ends up in Fletcher's guard.
Fletcher wants to stand but Nir is controlling the position.
Nir pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fletcher is keeping the position for now.
Nir looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Nir is looking to advance position but Fletcher has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Fletcher goes for an armbar but Nir turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Nir.
Nir controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Nir trying to control the position from guard on top but Fletcher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Fletcher scrambles and gets back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Fletcher enables Nir to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Fletcher manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Fletcher keeping moving, preventing Nir from controlling successfully.
Nir is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fletcher is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Nir won't allow Fletcher to get back to his feet.
Nir is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Nir is standing up over Fletcher. Fletcher looks to escape but Nir dives into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nir in side control, just content to control the action for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nir tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Nir tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nir has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nir staying calm.

Fletcher is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nir is controlling him well.
Fletcher wants to get back to his feet but Nir is dominant here and he's now got Fletcher's back!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fletcher trying to get back to his feet but Nir is in full control for now.

Nir is cranking Fletcher's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Fletcher! He's tightened the choke and Fletcher is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Frank Nir!
