PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Bellator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Charles Brock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bellator might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to A Lesson Never Learned. Edward Charles Brock will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Bellator!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edward Charles Brock!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brock avoids the body shot from Bellator.
Brock misses with a takedown

and Bellator counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bellator.
Bellator throws a big elbow that misses.
Brock preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Bellator stands up over Brock, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Brock is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bellator is aware though and is defending well.

Brock has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bellator can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bellator stands up over Brock, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bellator tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bellator has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Brock is still in real trouble! Can Bellator finish him?

Brock sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Bellator is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Brock is just riding it out for now. Bellator eventually gives up the hold.

Brock is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bellator pulls his head out easily.
Bellator thows a huge punch but Brock dodges it nicely.
Brock tries to get to full guard but Bellator has control of the leg.
Brock moves into full guard.
Brock trying to keep a closed guard but Bellator is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brock is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Bellator has his hands clasped together but Brock extends an breaks Bellator's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Brock.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Edward Charles Brock!
