Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jony Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bones is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: What's Golden About That. Jony Bones has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jony Bones!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Steve Montenegro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Anderson.
Bones fails with an attempt to clinch.
Anderson shoots in but Bones avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Bones clinches up with Anderson and pushes him back against the cage.

Anderson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Bones has momentary wrist control but Anderson slips an elbow through the middle.
Anderson is pushing down on Bones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bones is fighting to maintain full guard but Anderson has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jony Bones hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Bones shoots in looking for a takedown but Anderson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bones pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Anderson back to the cage. Bones follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Anderson gets caught flat footed, as Bones shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bones wants to control from the top but Anderson keeps moving.
Bones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Anderson is proving hard to escape from.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Anderson will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bones tries to roll over but Anderson keeps him under control.

Anderson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bones's waist but Bones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Anderson off to one side.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Anderson shoots in for a double leg but Bones sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Bones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Jack Anderson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Bones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to avoid it but Bones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bones wants to take Anderson's back but he can't do it this time.
Bones can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Anderson is looking to escape.
Bones throws a sloppy strike and Anderson uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Anderson has ended up in Bones's guard.

Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Bones is retaining full guard.
Anderson throws a strike but Bones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Jony Bones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!



Bones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Anderson's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Bones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Anderson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Anderson wants to improve his position but Bones is controlling well.
Bones is stalling here. Anderson is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bones seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Anderson has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bones can do anything to dispel that myth.
