With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luis Chalas!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Winter!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chalas doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Winter counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Winter throws the left hand but Chalas avoids the punch easily.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Chalas fails with the takedown
and Winter makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The crowd cheers as Winter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chalas doesn't seem phased though.


It looks like Luis Chalas has been cut.
Jack Winter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chalas takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Chalas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Winter defends it nicely.

Winter digs a good hook to Chalas's body.
Chalas takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Winter counters with a straight right hand.
Winter moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Oh Chalas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Chalas shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Winter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Winter counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luis Chalas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Winter batters Chalas with a massive right followed by a huge left! Chalas is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Winter lands a final crushing right hand to drop Chalas to the mat with a gruesome thud! Winter is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jack Winter! Jack Winter retains his bantamweight title!
