The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rogers on the side of the head.
A jab from Samson finds it's way through Rogers's defenses.

It looks like Jimmy Rogers has been cut.
Samson misses with a hook. Rogers ducked under it nicely.
Rogers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Samson moves away.
Rogers swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A swing and a miss from Samson.
Rogers fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Samson manages to avoid it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A looping hook to the body misses from Rogers. Samson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Samson cracks a nice hook into Rogers's ribs.

Samson lands a jab to Rogers's midsection.

Rogers tests Samson's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Rogers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Rogers throws a big shot that misses.
Samson sizes up Rogers with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Samson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rogers.
Samson is breathing heavily.
Rogers cracks Samson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

It looks like Long Haired Samson has been cut.
Samson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rogers.
Rogers ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Rogers cracks Samson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rogers has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Samson to stand back up!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A combination from Rogers does no damage.
Rogers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rogers is looking to clinch but Samson is avoiding it.

Rogers lands a big right hand that sends Samson crashing to the mat! Rogers stays standing though and waves Samson back to his feet!
Rogers circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Samson to the canvas! Samson doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Rogers keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
