and Burn decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Modelo's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Burn drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Modelo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Burn has Modelo in his guard.

Burn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Modelo is defending against the submission attempts here by Burn.

Burn is trying to work for a kimura but Modelo is defending well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Burn is stalling here. Modelo is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Burn seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Modelo has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Modelo takes advantage of some sloppy striking from Burn to pass into mount.

Modelo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Burn on the ground.

Burn is pressing down on Modelo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Burn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Modelo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Burn isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Modelo stacks Burn on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Modelo!
