Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grigoriy Rasputin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alpo Suhonen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rasputin comes into the arena with Kiss with a fist blaring out of the sound system. Suhonen has chosen Ihanaa leijonat, ihanaa! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Grigoriy Rasputin could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Alpo Suhonen's chin.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Suhonen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Suhonen misses with a hook to the body
and Rasputin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Rasputin lands a head kick. Suhonen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Suhonen shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rasputin's guard.

Suhonen drops back looking for a leg! Rasputin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rasputin manages to kick Suhonen off! Suhonen jumps back into Rasputin's guard.

Suhonen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rasputin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Suhonen has managed to get both his arms back between Rasputin's legs - danger averted.

Rasputin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Suhonen is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suhonen works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Suhonen wants to take a breather but Rasputin is having none of it.
Suhonen prevents Rasputin from improving his position.

Suhonen passes to full mount!

Suhonen with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Rasputin is trying to escape the mount.
Suhonen tries to control but Rasputin wriggling away.
Rasputin regains half guard.

Suhonen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rasputin is just riding it out for now. Suhonen eventually gives up the hold.

Suhonen is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rasputin!

Suhonen wants to control the pace but Rasputin is squirming around nicely.

Rasputin sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Suhonen seems to be working for a kimura but Rasputin defends the submission attempt.

Suhonen is looking for a kimura but Rasputin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Suhonen to get the leverage.
Suhonen is looking to stall here but Rasputin recovers full guard.

Rasputin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Suhonen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rasputin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Suhonen, into his guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Suhonen is looking to sinch up a triangle. Rasputin throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Suhonen's body to avoid the submission. Suhonen has instead reached around Rasputin's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Suhonen arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
