Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Hellstorm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melo has chosen Fort Minor - Remember the name as his entrance music. Felipe Melo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Melo has closed the distance and engaged Hellstorm in a clinch.
Melo misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hellstorm.

Melo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Melo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hellstorm takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

It looks like Alexander Hellstorm has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Melo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Melo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Hellstorm tries for a takedown but Melo circles away easily
and Melo counters with a good low kick that Hellstorm was not able to check.
Melo scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The fight stays on the outside here - Melo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Melo cracks the inside of Hellstorm's front leg.

A head kick misses from Hellstorm.
Melo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hellstorm doesn't seem bothered though.
Hellstorm is breathing heavily.
Melo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hellstorm at a distance.

Melo lands a big head kick that sends Hellstorm tumbling to the mat! Melo takes a step backwards and waves Hellstorm back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Hellstorm is rocked!

Hellstorm takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Melo looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Melo feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hellstorm sprawling to the canvas! Hellstorm rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Melo finish him?!
Hellstorm circles away from the clinch attempt.

Melo clinches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Melo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A nice leg kick lands there from Melo.

Melo lands a big right hand that sends Hellstorm crashing to the mat! Melo stays standing though and waves Hellstorm back to his feet!
Melo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hellstorm will feel that in the morning.
Melo tries to clinch but Hellstorm moves out of range.
Melo cracks Hellstorm's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Hellstorm slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Melo can do further damage! This one is done, son!

In his post fight interview, Felipe Melo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
