The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zeller throws an overhand right that lands on Vanguard's shoulder, as Vanguard tries to avoid the shot.
Vanguard takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Vanguard ducks under a wild hook from Zeller.
Vanguard blocks a jab.
Zeller throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vanguard sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Vanguard closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Zeller misses with a hook.
Zeller throws a series of punches but Vanguard avoids them all with ease.

and Vanguard counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Vanguard avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Vanguard misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zeller.

Cody Zeller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zeller will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vanguard scores with a hook to the body. Zeller takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Zeller throws a hook but Vanguard avoids it easily.
Vanguard lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Vanguard bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Vanguard scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

The fighters circling - Zeller throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Vanguard sends Zeller crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Vanguard is motioning to the referee to let Zeller up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Zeller is still on wobbly legs! Can Vanguard finish him?

Vanguard connects with a body shot that sends Zeller's belly button to the back.
A head kick by Vanguard - that's a beauty! Zeller is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Vanguard can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!

A relieved looking Grant Vanguard thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
