Jackson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Can't be Touched kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Quinton Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries to clinch but Miyaguchi moves out of range.

Miyaguchi drives through with a takedown into Jackson's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Miyaguchi tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard.

Quinton Jackson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Miyaguchi connects with a body shot that sends Jackson's belly button to the back.
Miyaguchi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Miyaguchi there as he acknowledges the shot.
That kick from Miyaguchi tenderised Jackson's leg. Jackson is trying to keep his angry face on.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Miyaguchi stops a takedown attempt from Jackson.

Miyaguchi swings wildly with an uppercut but Jackson uses good head movement to avoid it.
Miyaguchi tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jackson's elbow.
Jackson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Jackson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackson breaks the clinch.
Miyaguchi takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Miyaguchi shoots in looking for a takedown but Jackson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Miyaguchi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A telegraphed right hand from Miyaguchi misses the target.

Miyaguchi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jackson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Jackson clinches up against the cage.
Jackson lands an elbow inside that Miyaguchi shrugs off.
Miyaguchi lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Jackson.
Miyaguchi goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Miyaguchi can't find room to land a body shot as Jackson controls the action.

Jackson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jackson lands a nice short elbow.
Jackson prevents Miyaguchi from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miyaguchi is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jackson is controlling the pace.
Jackson wants to control but Miyaguchi is keeping him busy.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Miyaguchi manages to get to full guard.
Jackson content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Jackson lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Miyaguchi looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Jackson has picked Miyaguchi up and slammed him! Miyaguchi can't keep hold of the triangle and Jackson manages to pass to side control!
Miyaguchi is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Jackson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Miyaguchi sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Jackson cracks Miyaguchi with a big right hand but Miyaguchi just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Miyaguchi is looking to reverse the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Miyaguchi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Miyaguchi is trying to maintain the position but Jackson is very close to passing his half guard.
Jackson lands with a punch from half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Miyaguchi falls backwards - clearly groggy! Jackson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Quinton Jackson! Quinton Jackson retains his light heavyweight title!
During a confident post fight interview, Quinton Jackson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
