Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Slade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Male Nurse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nurse has chosen The Crazy Things We Do as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nurse scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nurse looks to land a right hand but Slade moved out of range.
A jab from Slade finds it's way through Nurse's defenses.
Nurse misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Slade.
Slade goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Nurse throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Slade.
Slade rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nurse counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Slade thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Nurse if he has to take too many more of those.

Nurse throws a hook to the side of Slade's head but Slade sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Slade throws out a loose jab but Nurse uses good head movement to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nurse has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Slade.
Slade slips under a jab from Nurse.
Nurse tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Nurse takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The fighters circling - Slade throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Nurse takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Slade is looking to stand up but Nurse isn't so interested in that idea.

Nurse's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Nurse drops his hands momentarily and Slade takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Slade catches Nurse with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nurse is defended easily by Slade.
Slade misses with a lunging right hand
and Nurse counters with a straight right hand.
Slade throws a wild body kick that Nurse sees coming a mile off.

Slade dips to his left and cracks Nurse with an uppercut!
Nurse swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Nurse crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Slade - the referee stops the clock and Nurse gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Slade. Nurse manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Slade throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Nurse.
Slade scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nurse swings for the body but Slade moves out of range.
Nurse shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Nurse shoots in looking for a takedown but Slade manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nurse's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
John Slade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Male Nurse.

Slade throws a shot from downtown. Nurse moves away and avoids it.
