The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Megalopolis takes the fight into the clinch.

Megalopolis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hammer just stands there and leans against the cage.

Megalopolis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hammer prevents Megalopolis from getting back to his feet.
Hammer looking to sit in guard and control but Megalopolis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Megalopolis gets to his feet - Hammer follows without any prompting.

Megalopolis tries to clinch but Hammer is having none of it.
Megalopolis doesn't manage to clinch there - Hammer circles away.
Megalopolis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hammer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Megalopolis has his foot on Hammer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hammer works his way back into a safe position though.

Megalopolis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hammer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Megalopolis holds on and takes a little breather.

That's time! Hammer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hammer. Megalopolis does a little dance to reset his feet.

Eleven Hammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Megalopolis tries to close the distance and clinch but Hammer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Megalopolis counters with a crisp one two that drops Hammer! Megalopolis thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Hammer to his feet! Hammer is in big trouble!

Megalopolis displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hammer throws out the jab.
