Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Corvia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robyn Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corvia comes to the cage accompanied by 2pac - Made niggaz. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Corvia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Robyn Jones!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corvia throws out a loose jab but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jones drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones won't allow Corvia to get back to his feet.
Corvia keeping moving, preventing Jones from controlling successfully.
Jones throws a big elbow that misses.
Jones controls from within his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corvia wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Corvia preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Jones showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Robyn Jones hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Corvia sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Corvia is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jones is looking to advance position but Corvia won't allow it.
Jones trying to control the action but Corvia is working from the bottom.
Corvia is trying to stand.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jones not doing much here.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Robyn Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Corvia tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jones clinches up with Corvia and pushes him back against the cage.

Corvia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Corvia uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jones.
Jones tries to clinch up but Corvia circles away and keeps his distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A punch combination from Corvia misses.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Corvia, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Corvia against the cage but Corvia circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Jones gets a clinch.

Jones has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Corvia is trying to keep an underhook but Jones manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Corvia pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
Jones trying to control from half guard but Corvia is working away.

Jones prevents Corvia from standing back up.
Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Corvia looks like he's trying to stand up.
Jones with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Corvia is trying to stand back up but Jones is controlling him
Jones missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Corvia is refusing to be controlled, as Jones sits in half guard.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Robyn Jones has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Corvia throws a head kick but Jones moves out of range.
Jones tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Corvia is able to avoid easily.
Corvia circles away from the clinch attempt.
Corvia fails to land with a series of punches.
Corvia misses with a straight right.
Corvia lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Corvia rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Corvia struggles to land a body shot inside as Jones controls his hands.
Corvia misses with a knee strike.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Corvia.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Corvia tries to break free but Jones pushes him back against the cage.
Jones tries to pull guard but Corvia won't allow it.
Corvia wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Robyn Jones will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Jones tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Corvia was well out of range. Poor timing from Jones.

Corvia tries to keep at a distance but Jones has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jones blocks an uppercut.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Jones slows down the pace here.
Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Corvia just stands there and leans against the cage.
Corvia has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jones avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Jones drags the fight down to the ground.

Jones is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Corvia is aware though and is defending well.

Corvia is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Corvia looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jones is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Corvia is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jones is controlling him.
Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but Corvia has wrist control.
Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Corvia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jones stands up from Corvia's guard - Jones perhaps looking for a knockout.

Corvia wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Corvia blocks a head kick by Jones.
Corvia's jab looks to have found its range, popping Jones under the eye.
Good standup being displayed there by Corvia as he connects with a hook.
Corvia shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Corvia misses with a body kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Corvia looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well.

Jones gets control of Corvia's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jones will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Corvia has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jones bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Corvia's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Corvia keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Corvia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Corvia looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A close second round but Robyn Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Jones shoots in looking for a takedown but Corvia manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jones's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Corvia closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones did well to prevent Corvia getting side control.

Corvia wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Jones uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Corvia gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jones checks a leg kick.

Jones changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Corvia tries to avoid it but Jones manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Corvia to the ground. Corvia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sean Corvia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robyn Jones.

Jones finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
A punch combination from Corvia misses.
Corvia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Corvia lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Sean Corvia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Corvia changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jones looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jones is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Corvia's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Jones is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Corvia's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Corvia's back!
Corvia is trying to stand back up.

Jones lands a shot to the head.

Corvia is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jones gets his way!

Jones has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Corvia is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
Sean Corvia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jones shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Corvia manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Jones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

I would just about give that final round to Robyn Jones.
I've got Jones winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
