The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar lands a slapping body shot.
Escobar throws a shot to the body.
Escobar lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Escobar.
Hillbilly Iii shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Escobar defends it nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hillbilly Iii fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Escobar manages to avoid it.

Escobar rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hillbilly Iii moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Escobar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hillbilly Iii is trying desperately to land a takedown but Escobar is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Hillbilly Iii.

Escobar finds Hillbilly Iii's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Hillbilly Iii flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Escobar lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Hillbilly Iii will be OK.
