Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Masahiko Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scott has chosen "Sad But True" by Metallica as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Scott!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott moves in looking to clinch but Nakamura pushes him off.

Scott tries to sprawl but Nakamura drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Scott is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nakamura pulls his head out easily.
Scott blocking the ground and pound attempt from Nakamura.
Scott is in trouble now - Nakamura has advanced to mount!
Nakamura lands a big elbow.
Nakamura thowing shots but they're missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Scott is trying to escape the mount.
Scott manages to regain half guard. Good work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nakamura is nestled in close to Scott, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Nakamura throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Nakamura is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Scott is just riding it out for now. Nakamura eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Nakamura is keen to just control but Scott is a slippery customer.

Nakamura is working for a kimura but Scott is defending it quite comfortably.

Nakamura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Scott on the ground.
Nakamura thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Scott's head.
Nakamura tries to pass the half guard into mount. Scott knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Scott makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Scott.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nakamura sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Scott's guard.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Scott is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Nakamura is tapping! Great win for Scott!

After winning the bout, David Scott thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
