Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seymour Cake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Saemon Havarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cake comes to the cage accompanied by Stack Bundles - Far Rock America. Havarian has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Saemon Havarian!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cake tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Havarian swivels and escapes.
Havarian looks gassed!
Cake looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Havarian is fending him off so far but Cake persists. Nope, Havarian circles away and we're back to standing.
Saemon Havarian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cake will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cake closes the distance and clinches up with Havarian, looking for a takedown. Cake pushes Havarian against the cage but Havarian circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cake looks for a takedown but Havarian sprawls well.

Havarian takes a knee to the side of the body.

It looks like Saemon Havarian has been cut.
Cake stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Cake wants to sweep but no luck.

Cake will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cake looking to hit a scissor sweep but Havarian is one step ahead there.
Cake knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Havarian on the ground.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
and Cake decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Havarian's guard.
Cake stays in close to Havarian's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Seymour Cake just wasn't active enough.

Cake is trying desperately to improve position.

Havarian goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Cake turns into him and now he's in Havarian's guard.

Havarian tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Seymour Cake overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Havarian is working an open guard so Cake takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Cake shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Havarian defends it nicely.
Cake shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Havarian but Havarian pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Cake has a takedown stuffed.
Havarian throws a poor cross that misses

and Cake counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Havarian's guard now.
Cake is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Cake decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Cake shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Havarian gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cake to score an easy takedown into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



Cake feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cake has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Havarian is proving hard to escape from.

Havarian has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cake can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Seymour Cake just wasn't active enough.
Cake tries to score a power double leg takedown but Havarian sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cake somewhat.

Havarian is working for a kimura but Cake is defending it quite comfortably.
Cake keeps control of the position for the meantime.
