Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Cheen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demetryos Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charles Cheen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Demetryos Alves!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Emerson Jorge and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cheen wants it to stay on the feet.
Alves shoots in but Cheen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Cheen stuffs the takedown attempt from Alves. Alves gets slowly back to his feet.
Charles Cheen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demetryos Alves.
Cheen slaps away a takedown attempt from Alves, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Cheen gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Cheen lands a right hand.
Alves is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cheen pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Cheen lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Cheen's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Alves wants to take the fight to the mat but Cheen manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alves goes for a takedown attempt but Cheen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

and Cheen counters with a nice body shot.

and Cheen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cheen lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Cheen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alves, pushing him back against the cage.
Alves is looking for a takedown.
Alves struggles to land a body shot inside as Cheen controls his hands.

Cheen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cheen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cheen trying to control the position but Alves is working away.
Alves manages to work his way to half guard, despite Cheen's best efforts.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cheen throwing shots but Alves is blocking nicely.
Cheen wants to take a breather but Alves is having none of it.
Cheen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Alves's head.
Alves is refusing to be controlled, as Cheen sits in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Alves has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Cheen. Oh but Alves has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Cheen goes limp - he's gone! Alves jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
