The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from St Edwards. Louis does a little dance to reset his feet.
Louis sizes up St Edwards with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
St Edwards shoots for a takedown but Louis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Louis works St Edwards's body with a nice hook.
Louis takes a swing at St Edwards's ribcage but misses.

Martin Louis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Louis lands with an uppercut that bounces St Edwards off the cage and back into range.
Louis fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches St Edwards on the side of the head.

St Edwards ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Louis moves away.

St Edwards shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Louis sprawls well. Louis wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. St Edwards gets slowly back to his feet.
St Edwards swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Louis feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to St Edwards's calf.
St Edwards rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Louis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
St Edwards takes a swing at Louis's ribcage but misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
St Edwards takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Louis has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

St Edwards tries to clinch there but Louis circles away.
Louis swings for the body but St Edwards moves out of range.
St Edwards shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Louis defends it nicely.

Louis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from St Edwards.

Louis goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
St Edwards misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Louis.
Louis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but St Edwards manages to avoid it.
St Edwards drops his hands momentarily and Louis takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


St Edwards is rocked!
St Edwards is looking to clinch but Louis is avoiding it.
Oh St Edwards is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
St Edwards takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
St Edwards seems to have got his legs back now.
Louis lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A lazy left from Louis finds it's target.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! St Edwards crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Louis - the referee stops the clock and St Edwards gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Louis. St Edwards manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Louis is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! St Edwards had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Louis digs a good body shot into St Edwards's ribs.

Louis throws a nice head kick!
Louis connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between St Edwards's hands.
Louis keeps St Edwards at a distance using the push kick.
St Edwards walks forward, straight into a front kick from Louis.
Louis ducks under a wild hook from St Edwards.
Louis lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
St Edwards takes one to the side of the head.
Louis moves into range and connects with a jab.
No luck with that takedown attempt from St Edwards.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
St Edwards misses with a double jab
and Louis counters with a hugh head kick that removes St Edwards from consiousness! A brutal head kick knockout!
