The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Miles shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Couture's guard.
Miles lands a couple of digs.
Miles wants to pass the guard but Couture is keeping the position.
Miles is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miles controlling from the top position.
Couture keeping moving, preventing Miles from controlling successfully.
Miles stands and throws Couture's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Miles is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Couture will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Couture is working to avoid the ground and pound but Miles connects with a decent elbow.

Miles working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Miles has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Miles has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Couture is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Miles yanks on the arm and Couture is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Miles.

Desmond Miles spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
