Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark McDonald!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ted Street!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Street throws a right and a left that McDonald avoids nicely.
Street staying out of range there.
Street misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Street fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McDonald looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Street throws a right hand that McDonald ducks under and follows up with a left that McDonald also avoids with ease.
Street throws a body punch but McDonald moves out of range.
Street tries to clinch up

and McDonald holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Street can't break the clinch.
McDonald prevents a body shot from Street.
Street can't find room to land a body shot as McDonald controls the action.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McDonald tries to pull guard but Street won't allow it.

Street pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Street scores with a jab to the body.
McDonald is breathing heavily.
Sloppy strikes from Street. Those never looked like landing.
Street misses with a kick to the body

so McDonald counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Street is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
McDonald passes Street's left leg - he's now in half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Street wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McDonald decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Street tries to clinch but fails miserably

and McDonald counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
McDonald tries to pass the half guard into mount. Street knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Street is trying to stand up here but McDonald is controlling him well.

McDonald in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Street tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from McDonald!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mark McDonald!
