Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Calico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dee Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calico comes to the cage accompanied by Heat--J.U.I.C.E.. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Calico has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Calico accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

No joy there for Jay, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Calico feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jays jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

and Calico makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Calico closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Calico works his foot free and advances to mount.
