Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Iverson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Proudstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Iverson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sick Puppies- This Is War. Proudstar has chosen Pale Horse as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iverson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Proudstar.
Proudstar closes this distance looking for a takedown but Iverson circles away.

Iverson gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Iverson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Proudstar slips a jab and a cross from Iverson.
Iverson scores with a shot to the body.
Proudstar takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

It looks like James Proudstar has been cut.
Iverson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Proudstar cracks the inside of Iverson's front leg.

Iverson closes the distance and clinches.

Proudstar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Dustin Iverson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Proudstar.

Oooooh!!! Iverson has knocked Proudstar down with a huge combo! Iverson steps away and waves a wobbly Proudstar back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Proudstar moves in looking to clinch but Iverson pushes him off.

Horrible takedown by Proudstar or perhaps it was just good defense by Iverson which made him look bad.

Iverson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Proudstar shoots in for a takedown but Iverson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Proudstar wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Proudstar is trying desperately to land a takedown but Iverson is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Proudstar.

Iverson drops Proudstar with a beautiful combination! Proudstar stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Iverson is looking for the KO!

That has opened up James Proudstar's cut even more.
Iverson ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Dustin Iverson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Iverson lands a big right hand that sends Proudstar crashing to the mat! Iverson stays standing though and waves Proudstar back to his feet!

Proudstar is rocked!

The cut above James Proudstar's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Iverson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Proudstar stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

A slapping leg kick lands for Iverson.
Iverson thumps Proudstar with a low kick.

Iverson lands a left and a right that send Proudstar crashing to the mat, dazed. Iverson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Proudstar is still on wobbly legs! Can Iverson finish him?

James Proudstar's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at James Proudstar's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
